Chapter 4: Writing the World
Wrapping Up
Recommendations & Exercises
This will cap Part I. We will strive to combine the writer’s newfound understanding of his vantage point with his ability to recognize and sense beyond the masks. We will stress to the writer the importance of his developing and practicing his ability to use his own imagination ot more deeply ingest and explore that sensory input, and then to use negative capability to convey those clarified images so the reader will share in the sensory experience. We will provide exercises on which the writer may practice; the exercises will both provide practice using imagination and negative capability and spur the writer to come up with more exercises on his own.
